Property Policies

Thank you for choosing to spend your time with us at Costanoa. To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, we just have a few golden rules we ask our guests to observe. We appreciate you in advance for reviewing and adhering respectfully to our policies.

For All Lodge, Cabin, and Tent Bungalow accommodations, check-in is at 4:00pm the day of arrival. Check out time is 11:00am.

For all RV and pitch-your-own-tent sites, check-in time is 1:00pm. Check out time is 11:00am.

Late check out must be approved in advance by the Front Desk. Any check out between the hours of 12 noon and 3PM will be charged a half day rate. After 3 PM a full day rate will apply.

• All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.
• An advanced deposit of the first night’s room and tax is required. Your credit card will be charged at the time the reservation is made.
• The maximum stay in any for any guests is 14 days unless approved prior to arrival by the General Manager.
• Please note our online booking system may not reflect all of our availability. If you do not see your preferred accommodation, please contact the front desk for details at 650-879-1100.
• As a safety precaution, unless otherwise specified by the reservation holder, Costanoa will only give out keys at time of registration to the guest(s) whose name is listed on the reservation. Upon Check in guest will be asked for a valid ID and Credit Card.
• Reservations may be booked up to 12 months in advance.
• Guests under the age of 18 must provide a credit card authorization provided by a party 18 years or older.
• No rollaways are available for any room or tent bungalow accommodation unless otherwise noted.
• Costanoa does not provide cribs or pack ‘n plays.
• For group or wedding reservations block of rooms, please contact our Sales department at 650-879-7307.

Our cancellation policy varies depending on your reservation type and whether your reservation falls on a holiday or special event. All cancellations must be made by phone (650-879-1100) during business hours. Cancellation processing fees will also be charged on cancellations made outside of the cancellation window.

RV Sites:

• 3-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
• Cancellation Processing Fee: $10

Lodge Rooms, Cabins, & Glamping Sites:

• 10-day advance notice required or forfeit first-night deposit
• Cancellation Processing Fee: $25

Major Holiday / Special Event Cancellation Policy:

• All cancellations are subject to forfeiture of the first night’s stay. Reservations require a minimum deposit equal to the first night’s stay at the time of reservations. This policy applies to all reservation types.

Parking Fee Details

A non-refundable fee of $10.00 per night per vehicle for up to two vehicles will be charged for parking. All fully electric vehicles are exempt from our parking fee. Thank you for your support in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.

Pet Fee

A non-refundable pet fee of $125.00 will be charged per stay.

Service Animals who adhere to ADA guidelines are exempt from any pet fee and breed restriction. Please Note a business or state/local government can ask someone to remove their service animal if: the animal is not housebroken, or is out of control, as defined by ADA.

Pet Friendly Accommodations

Guests staying in our Lodge, Coastal Cabins, Douglas Fir Cabins, & Tent Bungalows are welcome to bring one pet weighing 50 pounds or less per accommodation. 

Pets are also welcome at our RV sites.

Breed Restrictions

Due to our property insurance policy breed restrictions must apply. The following breeds are NOT permitted: Doberman, Pit Bull or Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Wolf, Rottweiler, American Bulldog, Amerian Bully, or cross breeds thereof.

Damages and Disturbances

Guests are fully responsible for any damage caused by their pets to the accommodations, and expected to compensate for disturbances caused by their pets, ensuring a peaceful environment for all.

Leash Requirement

For the safety of all guests and pets, we kindly request that pets remain on a leash while on hotel grounds.

Restricted Areas

Pets are not allowed to enter retail and restaurant outlets within the hotel premises.

Pet Relief Responsibility

Pet owners are responsible for ensuring their pets relieve themselves in designated pet relief areas. Please promptly clean up after your pet to maintain the cleanliness of our grounds.
